File of correspondence concerning the grave of Lieutenant F. G. Burns originally buried in Volos Municipal Cemetery, Greece. Main topics include: invitation to the casualty's next-of-kin to complete and return a form confirming details for inclusion in the register; report on the condition of the grave and the private memorial with which it was marked enquiring if the Commission was prepared to defray the cost of repairing the brick kerbing and tile coping; advice that this should instead be removed and the grave levelled (which was actioned in 1937); suggestion that the grave should be moved to Thessaloniki or Bralo addressing some of the logistics involved in doing so; response to a report that a civilian burial had been made over the grave in 1977 clarifying the extent of the Commission's responsibility for a privately-owned grave and memorial.
