Content NoteIncludes: Handwritten letter from Mrs Margaret Parata, sister of Privates Andrew and Bertie Cowie, expressing her thanks to the IWGC officials in Ypres and Albert for their help and assistance in her visit to her brothers' graves, 31 August 1954; enquiry form from Miss Sylvia Thomson, daughter of Mrs Parata, asking for information on remembrance services to attend either on the Continent or in London, 23 October 1959; letter from S H McCarthy, Regional Director (Northern Region) to the Assistant Secretary, with the information that Remembrance Sunday is not observed on the Continent to the same extent as Armistice Day, 30 October 1959; letter from the Secretary to Miss Thomson, advising her that the service in Westminster Abbey would be best for her mother to attend on Remembrance Sunday, 4 November 1959; handwritten letter from Miss Thomson to Squadron Leader Campbell, thanking him for his assistance and accepting the tickets to the Service of Remembrance at the Abbey, 6 November 1959.
