File of correspondence concerning the grave of Captain Stephen Ussher in Beuvry Communal Cemetery, France. An exchange of letters between the casualty's sister and the Commission's head office concerning her wish for a rose bush she had grown to be sent out and planted on his grave.

Includes: Handwritten letter from the casualty's sister Mrs Dorothy G. Riddle expressing her wish to visit his grave enquiring if she is allowed to take out and plant a rose bush from her garden; replies from the Commission explaining the regulations forbidding the import of plants without first obtaining a certificate of health from the Ministry of Agriculture and, having done so, addressing some of the logistics of sending it to the cemetery; subsequent confirmation that it has been planted and family's letter of acknowledgement expressing their appreciation.
