Description
Correspondence notifying next-of-kin of the location of Lieutenant Pinhey's grave. Request from next-of-kin for a photograph of the grave with response from Commission explaining delay in response and providing information on the photographic work in France and Flanders. Further request from next-of-kin for the wooden cross to be returned to her and a replacement permanent private memorial be erected over the grave. Further correspondence with details of the personal inscription chosen by the next of kin. Correspondence on behalf of Lady Pinhey (next of kin) regarding Lady Minto's petition in the Times (31 Oct 1921) and requesting for the age to be added to her son's headstone as well as having the name, age and personal inscription leaded. Later correspondence regarding request from Lady Pinhey to have some plants of Saxifraga "Guildford Seeling" and Aubretia planted on her son's grave with a rose at the back of the headstone.
