Driver FREDERICK WILLIAM LAY - HALLE COMMUNAL CEMETERY - Royal Horse Artillery
Correspondence from next-of-kin regarding her plans to visit Driver Lay's grave and enquiry over the removal of the small marble shield that was placed over the grave in 1919. Response from the Commission explaining the misunderstanding and that the shield was returned to the grave.
Includes: Note stating no record on A or WG file relating to a private memorial but states both Lay and his father were monumental masons.
