Lieutenant ARTHUR EUSTACE BLOMFIELD - GIAVERA BRITISH CEMETERY, ARCADE - Royal Field Artillery
Letters from the family of the casualty, including his sister Miss Elsie Blomfield and father Rev. J.B. Blomfield, requesting that a card be placed on his grave, the location of his grave, the ease of travelling to the cemetery, and information about the site. The Commission responded in full to each request.
Includes: Handwritten letters from Miss Elsie Blomfield, one specifying that her brother died of Spanish influenza less than a month before the end of the First World War, and a notification to the casualty's father (Rev. J.B. Blomfield) stating his son was exhumed from Mirano Communal Cemetery to Giavera British Cemetery.
