Content Note | Includes: Handwritten letter from Mrs Laurie Ellen Duffield, daughter of Quartermaster Serjeant Gover, asking for assistance with regards to her mother's burial as she had intended to bury her in the same grave as her father but the grave was waterlogged which meant Mrs Duffield had to purchase a plot elsewhere, dated 26 March 1958. Copy of special report of inspection by Area Superintendent of South Eastern Area advising on the condition of the prviate memorial and that there was no waterlogging present at the time of the visit and the Council had dealt with this previously meaning it would have been possible for Gover's grave to be opened up for the burial of Mrs Duffield's mother, dated 22 April 1958. |
