Content NoteIncludes: Handwritten letter from Mrs Erna May, the widow of Lance Bombardier Crutcher, asking for details of the grave location, dated 8 December 1935. Handwritten letter dated 18 May 1972 from Mrs May asking for help in visiting Ecoivres Military Cemetery and mentioning that she received a Death Penny and Crutcher's medals and that she remarried twice; a gentleman in the Royal Engineers who died in 1953 and another who was in the Rifle Corps and died in 1970. Mrs May goes on to mention that her father was a Colour Sergeant in the Hampshire Regiment and that one of her brothers died in France after fighting in Gallipoli and another brother served in India during the war and after. Completed enquiry form with Crutcher's casualty details, dated 22 May 1972.
