File of correspondence concerning the grave of Private Patrick Kelly in Clairy-Saulchoy Communal Cemetery. Main topics include correspondence regarding an inspection report received from Captain John Scott Parker, Chief Horticultural Officer, in connection with an enquiry which originated from Australia House but no trace of previous correspondence was found on the Work Branch's files, and further correspondence regarding the French government's decision to remove all French war graves from Clairy-Saulchoy Communal Cemetery on the Somme and Baizieux Communal Cemetery, with subsequent decision made by the Commission to remove Private Kelly's grave, the only British/Dominion grave in Clairy-Saulchoy Communal Cemetery, to Picquigny British Cemetery. Also refers to decision to remove the grave of Private W.H. Pettett, 557, 46th Battalion, AIF, from Baisieux Communal Cemetery to Warloy Baillon Communal Cemetery Extension.
