Content NoteIncludes: Handwritten letter from Gunner Durrant's mother explaining she was fortunate to have her son brought back from Winchester Hospital and mentions two of his uncles who died from wounds and a third uncle who died in France, and that she and her sisters were saving up to erect a small stone memorial in Felixstowe Churchyard, dated 27 September 1919. Copy letter from the next of kin of Felix Butterworth explaining that Felix's grave contained the remains of her brother Stanley Woodall Butterworth (Lieutenant, Essex Regiment, died Jan 1918) and her nephew Eric Durrant and refers to a memorial to be erected to these men as well as Reginald Butterworth (Suffolk Regiment, killed in action in October 1916), with a description of a memorial hanging in the Parish Church with their names, dated October 1928.
