Finance committee business; constitution and delegation of power to Commission agency in France; discussion re slowness of work in putting graves and cemeteries in France in order, with scarcity of labour being considered a factor; discussion re arrangements for visits by relatives to cemeteries in France and Belgium (pilgrimages); suggestion by Winston Churchill that the whole of the ruins of Ypres should be acquired as British property for the creation of cemeteries and memorials, and views of Sir Frederic Kenyon on the matter; report regarding the Belgian Governments proposals for an Anglo-Belgian Committee; recommendations of committee on war graves in UK; formation of Anglo-Greek Committee; staff appointments (including appointment of Major Frank Durham, Officer in charge of works); Australian request to construct cemeteries at Gallipoli with own military engineers.
