St. George’s Day Ceremonies at Dover (St. James) Cemetery on 23 April 1949.

Report of the 359th meeting of the Finance Committee
Items 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 reported progress in headstone construction.
Item 15 concerned an allocation of money for the provision of uniform for manual and certain other grades or staff in the French, North-West European and Southern European Districts.
Item 17 concerned the promotion of Mr A. Lewis Watson to be Secretary-General of Canadian Agency.
Item 19 referred to recent proceedings of the Joint Negotiating Committee for the French and North-West European Districts
Item 20 referred to the modification of Maufe’s design for the Chatham Naval Memorial, involving omitting two bronze groups in the front of the extension and replacing them by large stone flower boxes.
Item 21 referred to repairs of the Australian Memorial to the Missing at Villers Bretonneux.
