DescriptionThis section is concerned with the Commission's work in constructing and maintaining cemeteries and graves, arranged according to the geographical area in which the work took place. It is divided into 6 sub-sections (A-F). The sub sections cover:

A. The United Kingdom, the Crown Colonies and the Irish Free State.
B. France and Belgium.
C. Northern Europe (Germany, Poland, the Baltic, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, and the USSR).
D. Italy, Greece and the other parts of South East Europe.
E. The Middle East and Africa.
F. India, the Pacific (including Australia) and the Americas

In a number of the countries concerned here, the Commission set up Mixed Committees. Where these existed, archive material relating to the work of the committee precedes that relating to other administrative and construction activities in the catalogue.
