NoteJohn Ash joined the Commission in 1944 as a clerk and was based at the Commission's Head Office for his entire career. For the majority of this career he was the Commission's offical photographer and was well known for his participation in Commission film shows and exhibitions. He retired from the Commission in 1986, after 41 years’ service.
