1. Consideration of Vice-Chairman’s report No.57 of expenditure authorised under Resolution 3 (1) of the 54th meeting of the Commission, with the resolution that this be accepted

2. Consideration of a report by the Finance Department re estimates of expenditure by the Commission in France during the quarter ending 31st December 1923, with the resolution that a sum of £52,000 be expended to defray administrative expenses

3. Consideration of a report by the Finance Department re estimates of expenditure by the Commission in Gallipoli in relation to the extension of appointments, with the resolution that a sum of £2,600 be expended to defray administrative expenses for the six months ending 30th September 1924, that a £3,200 be expended to defray administrative expenses for the six months ending 31st March 1924 and that a sum of £1636 to defray the costs of personnel and horticulture

4. Consideration of a report by the Finance Department requesting additional expenses for the return of wooden crosses to the next-of-kin, with the resolution that a further sum of £500 be expended for this purpose

5. Consideration of a report by the Director of Works and a certificate from Sir Frederic Kenyon re the consideration of tenders for constructional work to be carried out in Plymouth Old and Weston Mill Cemeteries, with the resolutions that the tender by Mr J B Hunt be accepted at a sum of £864.2.1, that a sum of £20 be expended to defray the cost of affixing a bronze sword to the two War crosses erected in said cemeteries and that a sum of £90 be expended to meet the cost of contingencies

6. Consideration of a report by the Director of Works and a certificate by Sir Frederic Kenyon re the consideration of tenders for constructional work to be carried out in Neath Cemetery, with the resolutions that the tender by Mr W A Morris be accepted at a sum of £305.2.6, that a sum of £20 be expended to defray the cost of affixing two bronze swords to the two War crosses erected in the said cemetery and that a sum of £30 be expended to meet the cost of contingencies

7. Consideration of a report by the Director of Works and a certificate from Sir Frederic Kenyon re the consideration of tenders for constructional work to be carried out in Wandsworth Cemetery (British War Graves Plot and Common Graves Memorial), with the resolutions that the tender by Messrs Dove Brothers be accepted at a sum of £574 and that a sum of £60 be expended to meet the cost of contingencies

8a. Consideration of a letter from Lieutenant Colonel Nangle of the Newfoundland Contingent to the Principle Assistant Secretary re the commemoration of the Newfoundland Missing, with the resolution that the proposal to erect a Newfoundland Memorial does not meet the terms of resolution 13 of the Commission meeting and that Colonel Nangle be informed accordingly

8b. Consideration of a letter from Colonel Nangle to the Principal Assistant Secretary re the erection of four Crosses of sacrifice for St. John’s, Newfoundland, with the resolution that as the total number of war graves in Newfoundland does not exceed 113, this proposal be referred to the Commission for consideration

9. Consideration of a report by the Director of Works and resolution 9 of the 38th meeting of the Commission re the consideration of tenders for the supply of iron fencing in cemeteries in East Africa, with the resolutions that the tender by Messrs Wm. Bain&Co be accepted at a sum of £927.4.3d and that a sum of £300 be expended to meet the cost of transport and erection of said fencing

10. Consideration of a report by the Director of Works and resolution 4 of the 57th meeting of the Commission re Contract 1923 “0” and the consideration of tenders for the construction of 23 cemeteries in France, with the resolutions that the tender by Robin, Brasseur et Jacquet, Entrepreneurs be accepted at a sum of Francs 2,798,026.91, that a sum of Francs 170,000 be expended on the construction of low enclosure walls not exceeding 3 feet in height around five cemeteries and on the basis of the prices contained in the Bills of Quantities in the said tender of Robin, Brasseur et Jacquet, that a sum of Francs 279,800.00 be expended to meet the cost of contingencies and that the necessary exchange to cover the Commission’s liabilities be purchased as and when advised by the Treasury

11. Consideration of a report by the Land and Legal Adviser re contract 1920 C in relation to constructional work carried out in La Kreule British Cemetery by M Jules Blaton, with the resolution that payment be made in French currency instead of Belgian currency as contracted for

12. Consideration of a report by the Land and Legal Adviser and resolution 12 of the 77th meeting of the Committee re the construction of the Indian Memorial at Neuve Chapelle, with the resolution that paragraph 9 of the draft articles of agreement between the Commission and Sir Herbert Baker be amended so that the Architect is not entitled to any remuneration for his services beyond that already provided

13. Consideration of a report by the Principal Assistant Secretary re the subsistence and travelling allowances of Administrative officers in East Africa, with the resolution that the Principal Assistant and Clerk of Works Grade A be entitled to receive subsistence allowance only

14. Consideration of a report by the Principle Assistant Secretary covering a letter from Colonel Egerton Warburton, Financial Adviser, British Army of the Rhine re subsistence and travelling allowance in Germany, with the resolution that the rates of travelling allowance allowed to the Commission’s staff in Germany be revised

15. Consideration of a statement by the Finance department re concentration of British War Graves into Niederswehren Cemetery, Cassel, with the resolution that a sum of £1,000 be expended to defray the cost of said concentration

16. Consideration of a report by the Principal Assistant Secretary re the appointment of a Second Assistant Registration Officer on the staff of the Commission in East Africa, with the resolution this be accepted at a sum of £430 per annum to include subsistence and travelling allowance from 1st April 1923

17. Consideration of a report by the Controller and Financial Adviser and a report by the Director of Works re the return of two private memorials in Boulogne Eastern Cemetery, with the resolutions that a sum of £15.13.0d be expended to defray the cost of returning the memorial on the grave of Lieutenant M S Benning to the next-of-kin and that a sum of £13.12.6 be expended to defray the cost of returning the memorial on the grave of Lieutenant H C R Tudway to the next-of-kin
18. Consideration of a report by the Land and Legal Adviser re 1920 A Contract with Messrs Enterprises Sommerville, with the resolution that part of the bond entered into by Messrs Enterprises Sommerville be released to the extent of three quarters of the total amount or a sum of £4,500

19. Consideration of resolutions passed at the 2nd meeting of the Committee re the erection of memorials to commemorate the members of the Mercantile Marine, with the resolutions that – memorial to European members of the Mercantile Marine be limited to a capital sum of £25000, that the expenditure on the erection of a memorial at Hong Kong to the Chinese members of the Mercantile Marine be limited to a sum of £1,000 and that the expenditure of the erection of a memorial at Bombay to the Indian and native members of the Mercantile Marine be limited to £5,500
