1. Consideration of Vice-Chairman’s report No.51 of expenditure authorised under Resolution 3 (1) of the 54th meeting of the Commission, with the resolution that this be accepted

2. Consideration of the detailed report of expenditure from Commission funds for April 1923 as submitted by the Vice Chairman, with the resolution that this be accepted

3. Consideration of a report by the Finance Committee re estimates of expenditure by the Commission in Canada for the period 1922 to 1923, with the resolution that a sum of £650 be expended to defray the Commission’s administrative expenses for the six months ending 31st March 1923

4. Consideration of a report by the Finance Department re estimates of expenditure by the Commission in East Africa between January and March 1923, with the resolution that a sum of £2650 be approved to defray these administrative expenses

5. Consideration of a report by the Finance Department re estimates of expenditure by the Commission in Egypt for the period 1922 to 1923, with the resolution that a sum of £525 be expended to defray these administrative expenses

6. Consideration of reports by the Land and Legal Adviser re draft articles of agreement to be entered into with Sir John Burnet, with the resolution that upon amendments to paragraph 8, the said draft articles of agreement be approved including the amount and method of remuneration payment to be paid to the architect

7. Consideration of resolution 7 of the 52nd meeting of the Commission, a report by the Director of Works and a tabulated statement (Contract 1923 N) re the consideration of tenders for the construction of 26 cemeteries in France, with the resolution that the tender by Messrs Establissements George Moss et Fils be accepted at a sum of Francs 2,116,137.49, that a sum of Francs 150,000 be expended on the construction of enclosure walls not exceeding 3 feet in height around six cemeteries, that a sum of Francs 220,00 be expended to meet the cost of contingencies and that the necessary exchange to cover the Commission’s liabilities under the proposed contract be purchased as and when advised by the Treasury

8. Consideration of resolution 10 of the 53rd meeting of the Commission and a report by the Director of Works re the consideration of tenders for constructional work to be carried out in Hazebrouck Communal Cemetery, with the resolution that the tender by Le Nord Constructeur be accepted at a sum of Francs 126944.66, that a sum of Francs 13000 be expended to meet the cost of contingencies and that a sum of 7,000 be expended to defray the cost of modelling and carving French and British Arms to be erected in the cemetery

9. Consideration of a report by the Director of Works re the consideration of tenders for the architectural treatment of Flushing Cemetery, with the resolution that this matter be adjourned to the next meeting of the Committee

10. Consideration of a report by the Director of Works re the proposed design of Portiance Military Cemetery, Lemnos, with the resolution that a sum of £1800 be expended on constructional work in accordance with the estimate of cost furnished by the Deputy Director of Works, Gallipoli

11. Consideration of a report by the Principle Assistant Secretary re a request to erect a Cross of Sacrifice and Stone of Remembrance in the British War Cemetery in Tsingtao (Qingdao) and for the caretaker to receive permanent residence, with the resolution that a sum of £150 be expended on the erection of a Central Memorial, that a sum of £18 be expended on the erection of a house for the caretaker and that a sum of 7/6d per grave per annum be approved as a contribution toward maintenance costs

12. Consideration of a report by the Director of Works and resolution 12 of the 52nd meeting of the Commission re designs for the Memorial to the Missing at La Ferte-sous-Jouarre, with the resolution that the offer by Sir Aston Webb to act as assessor in the competition be accepted, that the Director of Works submit draft regulations to the President of the Royal Institute of British Architects concerning the governance of the said competition, that a sum not exceeding £100 be paid to the successful competitor and that the Director of Works submit these regulations to the Finance Committee for approval.

13. Consideration of reports from the Director of Works re estimates for the erection of headstones in Egyptian cemeteries, with the resolution that the offer by Messrs di Farro to erect headstones in Cairo, Chatby, Hadra, Minia, Ismailia and Tel-el-Kebir Military Cemeteries be accepted at a sum of Piastres 45 per stone, that their offer to erect headstones in Port Said and Suez Military Cemeteries be accepted at a sum of Piastres 56 per stone, that their offer to erect headstones in Kantara Military Cemetery be accepted and that a sum of 10 per cent of the total amount of expenditure be expended to meet the cost of contingencies
