1. Consideration of Vice Chairman’s report No.45 of Expenditure authorised under Resolution 4 (1) of the 43rd Meeting of the Commission, with the resolution that this be accepted

2. Consideration of report of expenditure from Commission funds for the month of January 1923 as submitted by the Chairman, with the resolution that this be accepted

3. Consideration of a report by the Finance Department re the supply, engraving, transport and erection of headstones in small cemeteries and churchyards in the United Kingdom, with the resolution that a sum of £1000 be expended for this purpose not exceeding twelve graves in the United Kingdom

4. Consideration of a report by the Finance Department re the exhumation and re-internment of remains in countries other than France and Belgium, with the resolution that a sum not exceeding £250 be expended for this purpose when sanctioned by the Vice Chairman

5. Consideration of a report by the Finance Department re the horticultural maintenance of graves in the United Kingdom during the year ending 31st March 1923, with the resolution that a sum of £1000 be expended for this purpose

6. Consideration of a report by the Finance Department re travelling expenses of the Commission in neutral countries during the year ending 31st March 1923, with the resolution that a sum of £200 be expended for this purpose

7. Consideration of a report by the Finance Department re the administrative expenses of the Commission in Germany, with the resolution that a sum of £270 be expended defray the costs of these expenses for the quarter ending 31st March 1923

8. Consideration of a report by the Finance Department re the administrative costs of the Commission in Egypt, with the resolution that a sum of £1460 be expended to defray the costs of these expenses for the six months ending 30th September 1922

9. Consideration of a report by the Director of Works re the consideration of tenders for the erection of 157 headstones in Sutton Veny Churchyard, with the resolution that the tender by Messrs Turvey and Perrin be accepted at a sum of £478.17.0, that a sum of £45 be expended to meet the cost of contingencies and that a sum of £45 be expended to defray the costs of engraving personal inscriptions on said headstones

10. Consideration of a report by the Director of Works, resolution 8 of the 45th meeting of the Commission and resolution 13 of the 523rd meeting of the Commission re the consideration of tenders for the making of Bronze name panels to be placed on the Chatham Naval Memorial, with the resolution that the tender by Mr Charles Henshaw of Murieston Crescent, Edinburgh be accepted at a sum of £3257

11. Consideration of a report by the Director of Works and Resolution 6 of the 51st meeting of the Commission re the consideration of tenders for the construction of thirteen cemeteries in France, with the resolutions that the tender by M. Valere Duyvewaert be accepted at a sum of Francs 2,570,041, that a sum of Francs 250,000 be expended to meet the cost of contingencies, that Francs 200,000 be expended to defray the cost of enclosure walls around five cemeteries and that the necessary exchange to cover the Commission’s liabilities under the proposed contract be purchased as and when advised by the Treasury

12/13. Consideration of a minute by the Chief Accountant, France and a letter from Messrs J.W.G Randall and Co re the low rates of exchange in France, with the resolutions that the present price of Francs 10 per head paid to Messrs J.W.G Randall and Co for the feeding of the Commission’s staff in France be increased to Francs 12 per head and that the Vice Chairman be authorised to make such adjustments in the price paid and provided that the sterling cost to the Commission of this service is not thereby increased beyond a sum of 25/- per head

14. Consideration of a letter from the Secretary of the Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes re the discontinuance of examining the Commission’s Catering Files, with the resolutions that this process be discontinued and that the thanks of the Commission be conveyed to the Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes for their services and assistance in the past

15. Consideration of a report from the Principle Assistant Secretary re appointment of staff of the Commission in France and Belgium, with the resolution that such appointments be filled only as and when necessity arises

16. Consideration of a cable from the Deputy Director of Works, East Africa re – with the resolution that the appointments of 1 Surveyor and Architectural Assistant at £850 per annum and 1 Transport and Concentration Officer at £720 per annum be cancelled and that two Principal Assistants at £850 and £720 respectively, be appointed
