1. Consideration of Vice Chairman’s report No.37 of Expenditure authorised under Resolution 4(1) of the 43rd Meeting of the Commission, with the resolution that this be accepted Minute by the Deputy Director of Works re the return of wooden crosses from the graves of soldiers in Italy, July 1922
2. Consideration of report of expenditure from Commission funds for the month of June 1922 as submitted by the Chairman, with the resolution that this be accepted
3. Consideration of a letter from the Director of Works re the construction of the Menin Gate Memorial, with the resolution that the ten firms recommended by Sir Reginald Blomfield be invited to submit tenders for the construction of the Menin Gate Memorial.
4. Consideration of resolution 10 of the 44th meeting of the Commission and correspondence from Director of Works and the Land and Legal Adviser re the construction of 15 cemeteries in Belgium, with the resolution that the tender by Messrs. Foundations Construction Travaux Publics of Paris be accepted at a sum of Francs 1.961.753, and that the expenditure of 10% of the contract for the cost of contingencies be approved
5. Consideration of a report by the Director of Works re the construction of 30 small cemeteries in Belgium, with the resolution that a sum of Fcs.778,651 be expended to defray the cost of completing the construction of 30 cemeteries by direct labour or by local contract and that a further sum of Fcs.78,000 be expended to meet the cost of contingencies.
6. Consideration of a report by the Director of Works re the construction of Gaza Cemetery, with the resolutions that the tender by Messrs Ahmet Nosrat be accepted at a sum of £E.11,388, and that a sum of £E.1,412 be expended to meet the cost of contingencies.
7. Consideration of a report by the Director of Works re the supply of headstones for Cemeteries in Gallipoli, with the resolutions that subject to their submitting a tender, the offer by Messrs Hopton Wood Stone Firms Limited to produce 9,000 stone slabs be accepted, that the tender by Messrs T Hodgkinson & Sons to produce and engrave 9,000 tablets be accepted at a sum of £1.10s.5d, that a sum of £637.10s.0d be expended on crating the said tablets, that a sum of £1012.10s.0d be expended on transporting the said tablets, that a sum of £1800 be expended on the cost of delivery and fixing of the said tablets and that a sum of £5000 be expended on engraving personal inscriptions pending receipt from the next of kin concerned
8. Consideration of resolution 9 of the 42nd meeting of the Commission and a report by the Director of Works re the consideration of tenders to produce 9,194 headstones, with the resolutions that the offer by Messrs R Francis and Sons Limited for 907 headstones be accepted at the price set out in their contract, that the offer by Messrs James Andrews Limited for 364 headstones be accepted at the price set out in their contract, that the tender by Messrs Keates & Co for 1004 headstones be accepted at a sum of 2585.6.0d, that the tender by Messrs A Burslem & Son for the delivery of 3044 headstones be accepted at a sum of £8454.14.3d, that the tender by Messrs J Glasscock for 1885 headstones be accepted at a sum of £5180.3.9d, that the tender by Messrs Dyer & Sons for 1990 headstone be accepted at a sum of £5542.3.0d, that a sum of £5000 be expended to meet the costs of transport and contingencies and that a sum of £4000 be approved to meet the costs of engraving personal inscriptions
9. Consideration of a report by the Director of Works and resolution 15 of the 47th meeting of the Commission re the allotment of additional cemeteries, with the resolutions that an offer be made to D G Somerville & Co Limited within a period not exceeding six months on the terms and conditions of the Commission’s Common Form Letter of tender, conditions of contract and specification and at the net prices of quantity set out in the tender of D G Somerville & Co Ltd, and that a sum not exceeding ten per cent of the total estimated cost of the construction of the said cemeteries be expended to meet the cost of contingencies
10. Consideration of resolution 17 of the 45th meeting of the Commission and a report by the Director of Works re the consideration of tenders for the construction of Abbeville Communal Cemetery Extension, with the resolutions that the tender by Messrs Enterprises Somerville of Calais for a sum of Francs 191.153 be accepted and that a sum not exceeding ten per cent of the amount of the contract be expended to meet the cost of contingencies
11. Consideration of resolution 16 of the 47th meeting of the Commission and a report by the Director of Works re the consideration of tenders for the erection of 100 War Crosses, types A and A1, with the resolutions that he Vice-Chairman be authorised to accept the tender by Messrs Soilles Freres of Brussels for the price set out in their tender, that a sum of Fcs. 369050 be expended to meet the costs of transport and the erection of the war crosses and that a sum of £557.10s.0d be expended to defray the cost of bronze swords to be affixed to the said war crosses 13. Consideration of a resolution of the 47th meeting of the Commission, a letter from General Perceval and a report by the Director of Works re estimated expenditure in relation to the work of concentration in Germany, with the resolution that a sum not exceeding £10,600 be expended on concentrating 1700 outlying graves and 175 others into Cologne British Cemetery
14. Consideration of letters from Principle Assistant Secretary re rates of pay of staff in , with the resolutions that the Commission’s Enquiry Staff in Berlin be paid on the same scale as is authorised for other appointments by the Controlled Committee, Berlin and that Mr Dorn, Chief of the Enquiries Staff be paid at £250 per annum together with weekly subsistence allowance of £2.10s.0d from the 1st April 1922
15. Consideration of a letter from the Finance Department recommending the continuation of the appointment of Lieutenant Colonel T B Browne, Transport Adviser, with the resolution that the appointment of Lt Col T B Browne be continued at a salary of £400 per annum from 1st July 1922 subject to termination of one month’s notice
