DescriptionBound volume of a petition to the Prince of Wales, arranged and organised by Lady Florence Cecil, containing some 8000 signatures. The petiton was set up to register protest against the Imperial War Graves Commission's decision to use rectangular headstones to mark the graves of the First World War dead as opposed to cruciform shaped markers.
